Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced or mashed)
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 cans (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 12 oz lasagna noodles (uncooked)
- 16 oz cottage cheese
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan or asagio
- 16 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
- Brown ground beef in a large skillet, along with onion and garlic. Cook until onion is clear.
- Add salt, Italian seasoning, tomato sauce and tomato paste and let simmer.
- Mix cottage cheese, sour cream and parmesan in a separate bowl.
- Add a layer of meat mixture to bottom of Crock Pot.
- Add a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (break to fit).
- Add a layer of cheese mixture and top with enough mozzarella to cover.
- Keep adding layers in order until ingredients run out.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours.
Notes:
The number of layers you will add depends on the size/depth/width of the Crock Pot that you're using. This recipe is for a 6 qt Crock Pot, so you can adjust ingredients accordingly for a larger or smaller cooker.
